This Week in Cougar Territory - 4/03/2024

Esteemed Parents/Guardians/Parents/Students,

Welcome to Quarter 4: Week 1.  This week is National Assistant Principal’s Week, and we are very fortunate to have Dr. Brodie on our team.  This is also the Month of the Military Child, without whom our school would not exist.  With deep respect, we are grateful for the sacrifices made by our military families, including our students.  We owe them our very best, every day.

Tomorrow (03APR2024) will be another unique day for our students.  Our 11^th and 12^th graders will be taking the SAT from 0805 – 1105.  We will then have periods 5, 6, and 7 in the afternoon.  9^th graders will take the Middle of the Year (MoY) writing assessment.  9^th and 10^th graders will have extended seminar time in the morning until the 11^th & 12^th graders finish their standardized test.  9^th graders will be directed into the 9^th grade hub in the morning.  10^th graders into the 10^th grade hub, and the entire upstairs classroom areas will be designated for the juniors and seniors testing.  Unfortunately, any juniors or seniors who arrive late will not be allowed into the testing site. 

For all students, it is critical to bring a charged Chromebook every day. Tomorrow it is imperative that the juniors and seniors arrive with a charged Chromebook for the SAT.

Also noteworthy this week, our athletics are in full swing and Ms. Gunn is traveling with a robust group to the DoDEA’s annual Dramafest.  It has been incredible seeing our young thespians developing their craft this year under Ms. Gunn’s tutelage.  This is a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their talents.
