This Week in Cougar Territory - 11/13/2023

Esteemed Parents/Guardians/Teachers/Students:

Welcome to Quarter 2: Week 4.

This week is a bit of an oddity in the month of November.  We have five full days of instruction!  (Thursday is still an early release day, as always.)  Really just a few short bullet points to highlight for the week.  

• Attached is a Winter Sports Schedule that has Final in the title.  Let’s hope this is the last update needed.
• Our athletic director and counselor extraordinaire (Mr. Houston) is continuing to support our colleagues in Ankara, Turkey.  We are hopeful he will return next week. 
• We have 13 students and 3 educators representing the Vicenza complex.  This is an outsized representation of our comparatively small school.  We are very proud to have them representing VHS.  
• Our School Advisory Council will meet tomorrow at 1530.  
• Our second superstar counselor Mr. Jessup has put together an impressive list of representatives to recruit and share information about their colleges/universities and branches of the military.  (See the poster for details)  The event is on Wednesday from 1630 -1900.
