Dr. Doris Brodie

Biography

Dr. Doris Brodie hails from Springfield, Massachusetts. Before coming to DoDEA, Dr. Brodie worked for the Hartford Board of Education at Hartford High School, Thomas J. Quirk Middle School and West Middle School, as a guidance counselor and health teacher. After joining DoDEA, she has served as guidance counselor, educational program manager and elementary, middle and high school administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Master of Science degree in counseling from the University of Central Connecticut and her doctorate degree in Educational Administration from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Brodie is an avid reader, loves volksmarching and hiking, listening to jazz, traveling and working with students, teachers and parents to promote and facilitate students’ growth and development. Dr. Brodie is proud to be a part of providing the world class education that DoDEA provides for the children of our United States service members and civilian support personnel. She is also feels fortunate that two of her three children are DoDEA graduates.

Her mantra is “Every day is a Great Day in DoDEA”. She believes that because she is a part of the DoDEA team that is engaged in the most important work on earth, that of guiding and educating our youth. The challenges, accomplishments and continuous learning that we face, achieve and are engaged are privileges that she has in order to assist in guiding and educating our children who will determine the future.
