Vicenza High opens school year with energy, tradition, community support
VICENZA, Italy – Vicenza High School officially welcomed students back for the start of the new school year with a series of events designed to build connections, celebrate school, and create a memorable beginning for students and families.
The first day started with an inspiring show of support as representatives from several military command units, including the installation commander, joined faculty and staff in greeting students with applause as they arrived.
The clapping welcome created an energetic atmosphere and reinforced the strong partnership between Vicenza High School and the military community it serves.
The excitement began even before the first day of classes during new student orientation, where students had the opportunity to meet classmates, learn about school programs, and become familiar with their new surroundings.
For the senior class, the start of the year included traditions that marked the beginning of their final chapter at Vicenza High School.
Seniors gathered early for a Senior Sunrise Breakfast, sharing time together before the school day began and reflecting on the opportunities ahead.
The senior celebration also included activities such as senior jeans painting, allowing students to express their creativity and commemorate their final year.
Combined with the enthusiastic welcome from military leaders, staff, and families, these events set a positive tone for a school year focused on learning, leadership, and community. As students filled classrooms once again, Vicenza High School launched the year with excitement, connection, and a strong sense of community.
